Marvel Studios' spanking-new Disney+ spectacle, Agatha All Along, kicked off with a two-episode launch that craftily tipped the hat to That 70s Show, stirring nostalgia amongst fans.

Eager Marvel enthusiasts are buzzing over the arrival of the latest series on Disney+, where Kathryn Hahn returns as the mischievous Agatha Harknessa role she gleefully embraces following her chaotic journey in WandaVision.

The starting episodes find Agatha spellbound by Wanda Maximoff, aka Scarlet Witch (played by Elizabeth Olsen), still caught in the Westview illusion after their epic clash.

Under the guise of Agnes, a faux forensic detective, it takes a chance encounter with Rio Vidal (Aubrey Plaza) and a mysterious teenager (Joe Locke) for the truth to unravel, leaving Agatha to untangle reality from the bewitching ruse.

As Agatha bands together with three other witches and the recognisable Mrs Hart (Debra Jo Rupp) from Westview, viewers witness her determination to reclaim her magical prowess, a quest that sees her stepping into the real world once more, reports the Express.

Amidst all the enchantment, viewers got whipped up in a frenzy as a scene drew comparisons to Debra's well-known portrayal of Kitty Forman in That 70s Show, caused by a sly nod when the coven harmonises.

Shared across social media, a particular quip when Jennifer Kale (Sasheer Zamata) asks, "So, who's going high?" prompts Mrs Hart to comically refuse with the line: "Oh, no thank you, I don't take drugs."

This humorous throwback wasn't lost on fans, whose memories sparked recognition of the distinctive edit and joke delivery akin to Debra's iconic stint as Kitty, culminating in nods to past shows that enhance the Agatha All Along experience.

One eagle-eyed fan caught the nod to a classic sitcom, commenting: "This scene and the camera angles were absolutely a that 70s show reference right? Especially since mrs hart is played by debra."

The observation sparked a wave of agreement among viewers, with one chiming in: "And they were in the basement, absolutely yes."

Another fan couldn't contain their excitement: "Omg yes!!! I was even thinking during this scene she was giving me biiiig kitty foreman vibes."

A third shared their chagrin at missing the homage: "I didn't even catch that," they confessed. "So disappointed in myself."

The original poster then elaborated: "Mrs hart saying 'i don't do drugs' in response to going 'high' just made my brain instantly go there hahaha."

Finally, another fan pointed out: "100%. It's the second time a Debra Jo Rupp character has been involved in something she doesn't really get in a basement and realized hey, this is cool actually."

With Agatha's return on Disney+ set to grace screens throughout the Halloween season, viewers can look forward to more eerie thrills and clever references in the weeks ahead.

Agatha All Along continues Wednesdays on Disney+.
