Hit ITV game show and celebrity host 'to be axed' after seven series on air

ITV viewers are set to be disappointed after reports suggested a popular daytime game show won't be returning.

Tenable has been on air for seven series, but is reportedly ready to be axed by the organisation. The show, hosted by Warwick Davis, gave contestants the chance to win up to £125,000 if they were able to work together. The contest saw a team of five people compete by filling in different category lists of 10 items. Each hopeful had to take turns to guess the correct answers.

However, it's claimed there's no indication the show will return to its slot following two years off filming. It's thought ITV have kept back episodes to air in the coming weeks, but doesn't have any plans to film any more. There also hasn't been any appeals for new contestants issued by the production company recently.

A year before the latest filming ended, Warwick was replaced as host by Sally Lindsay. He said at the time that his his absence was due to the fact he had been working on a secret project. He had previously been cast as an Ewok extra in Star Wars before filling in to play Wicket after Kenny Baker fell ill.

He went on to also star as Professor Filius Flitwick in the Harry Potter films between 2001 and 2011. In addition to playing Flitwick, Warwick also starred as goblin Griphook in Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows.

Earlier this year, his wife Samantha sadly died at the age of 53. He said at the time: "Her passing has left a huge hole in our lives as a family. I miss her hugs. She was a unique character, always seeing the sunny side of life she had a wicked sense of humour and always laughed at my bad jokes."

He also described his late spouse as his "most trusted confidant and an ardent supporter of everything I did in my career". Samantha and Warwick's children Harrison and Annabelle also paid tribute, saying their late mother's "love and happiness carried us through our whole lives".
