Horror moment Hezbollah walkie-talkie explodes during Lebanon funeral

Alarming footage captures the moment a Hezbollah radio exploded during a funeral for four of the terror group's fighters in Lebanon.

The fighters were killed on Tuesday during a wave of remote-controlled pager blasts carried out by Israeli spies across the country.

Now, Israel has declared a “new phase” of war after as many as 450 were wounded and at 14 reportedly left dead by a second wave of exploding electronic devices across multiple regions of Lebanon.

And one of these blasts was at the funeral in southern Lebanon. Footage shows militants panic and flee and ambulances race to the scene. Hundreds of mourners clad in black are pictured against a backdrop of Hezbollah's trademark yellow and green.

Israel has yet to officially claim responsibility for the double-tap attack but it has deployed troops to the northern border with Lebanon. The nation's defence minister, Yoav Gallant, though has said the army and security agencies have been "very impressive".

Mr Gallant said that after months of war against Hamas militants in Gaza, "the center of gravity is shifting to the north by diverting resources and forces." He added: "We are at the start of a new phase in the war - it requires courage, determination and perseverance." Within moments of the announcement being made, Germany announced that it would be suspending permits to export military weapons to Israel.

Some 12 people including two children were killed after Israeli spies planted explosives inside thousands of "brand-new" Hezbollah pagers on Tuesday. One of them was a nine-year-old girl.

Mossad spooks intercepted a shipment ordered by Hezbollah months before the attack and detonated them by sending a coded message, a Lebanese security source and a second source told Reuters.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed this evening to return all evacuated citizens to the northern border with Lebanon. The White House said it is too soon to tell whether the explosions will affect ongoing ceasefire talks in Gaza.
