Former striker Mika Biereth has admitted he would love to make a return to the Gunners one day.

in a £4million move to Austrian Bundesliga side Sturm Graz. The 21-year-old has been in good form this season having netted seven goals and provided one assist in nine games.

The Danish youth international spent the latter half of the 2023/24 campaign on loan at Graz. It came after a previous loan spell at Motherwell in Scotland across the first half of last season where he scored six goals in 15 games .

And the young star admits a move back to 's side would be 'fantsatsic' but it's not something he's currently focused on. Biereth's comments come after scoring in Denmark U21's 5-0 win over Czechia U21s.

“Things are going well in Sturm Graz,” he told . “I have nothing to complain about right now.

"I play every week at a good level, and now we also play in the , where I’m still waiting for my first goal. If I keep playing well and scoring goals, hopefully a change can come, but right now I’m focused on Sturm and on doing well and scoring goals.

“A return back to Arsenal would be fantastic, but it’s not something I’m focusing on right now.”

Biereth's words will come as no surprise having reiterated his affection for the Gunners when announcing his departure in July. Posting to Instagram, he shared a photo of him at Arsenal's London Colney training ground with the caption: "Once a gooner, always a gooner.

"Thank you for everything [red-love-heart emoji]." His Under-23s teammate and goalkeeper James Hillson commented under the post with a clapping emoji and a love heart.
