has given a short update on the health of King Charles III in a rare TV appearance.
In a 90-minute documentary on , , 77, said “is doing really well” as he continues to undergo treatment for cancer. The King announced his cancer diagnosis in February, but the specific type of cancer has remained undisclosed to the public. Queen Camilla joked that the problem is "trying to stop him".
speaking on a new documentary about domestic violence. Diana Parkes, whose daughter Joanna Simpson was killed by her estranged husband in 2010, asked the Queen how her husband was doing, prompting Camilla to respond with a rare update.

The King has had a busy schedule recently including a 10-day trip to and Samoa. The couple racked up 36 engagements between them.
According to the Express, a senior official said Charles, 75, found the trip a “perfect tonic” and that he “thrived” on the long list of engagements.
The official said: “He has genuinely loved this tour. He has genuinely thrived on the programme. It's lifted his spirits, his mood and his recovery. In that sense, the tour - despite its demands - has been the perfect tonic.”
On their way home from Samoa, the King and Queen went to an exclusive £3,000-a-week resort in Bangalore, India. They spent three days at the Soukya International Holistic Health Centre to help break up the long journey back to London.
A Buckingham Palace spokesperson said: “Their Majesties had a short private stopover in India to help break the long journey back from Samoa.”
It is understood the stopover was not connected to any sudden health scares but was part of the guidance given to the King to take periods of rest on the tour. Both Charles and Camilla have visited India several times on official trips and on personal holidays.
Now he is home, the King will resume his treatment cycle. The tour was Charles’s first visit to Australia as King. He visited Canberra and Sydney, receiving a mixed reception.
He was heckled by Australian senator Lidia Thorpe, 51, at Parliament House in Canberra, but thousands of people arrived to greet Charles and Camilla at the Sydney Opera House.
The couple also visited the independent state of Samoa, where they attended the Commonwealth Heads of Government meeting 2024. In Samoa, Charles was honoured with a high chief title and, upon saying goodbye, said he will “always remain devoted to this part of the ”.
