Scarlett Moffatt has shared her heartfelt journey of welcoming her 'miracle' son Jude into the world a month early, in an emotion-filled tribute during NICU Awareness Month.

The TV favourite, 33, revealed some private moments on her social media with her loving fans through unseen photographs. One touching image shows Scarlett cradling Jude on a hospital bed, while another captures Jude snug in a Babytherm as her partner Scott Dobinson looks on tenderly.

Further images show little Jude donning a cute knitted hat whilst being bottle-fed by Scott, and a photo of their midwife warmly holding baby Jude, as Scarlett expresses her deep thanks to the hospital staff for their exceptional care.

Overwhelmed with gratitude, Scarlett, in a touching message to her 2.4 million devotees, wrote: "AD It's NICU awareness month. Some of you may know Jude was my little miracle baby, who surprised us super early at just 35 weeks and 5 days, a whole month early."

"I'm always so grateful to the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Durham hospital for all their help and support during that time, especially Helen (pictured here) and Charlotte! ", reports OK!.

She continued to share her joy in partnering with @waterwipes as they launch their fifth annual Pure Foundation Fund, aimed at honouring dedicated individuals and teams providing exceptional care to premature babies or those needing NICU assistance.

Scarlett took to Instagram to share her deeply personal birthing story, urging people to nominate their unsung heroes during NICU awareness month. In a heartfelt video, she confessed: "Apologies if I start crying, I've never shared this with anyone but now felt like the right time for NICU awareness month."

She revealed that her son Jude was born at 35 weeks via C-section, four weeks early, and suffered from hypoglycemia, requiring a nasogastric tube for feeding. Scarlett praised the nurses for their kindness, noting how they made the experience a bit more personal by adding two little hearts to the plasters for 'mummy and daddy'.

Continuing her candid revelation, Scarlett spoke about Jude's battle with jaundice, which necessitated phototherapy and a bili blanket. She expressed gratitude towards the nursing staff, saying: "The nurses were lovely and showing us how to cuddle Jude with the blanket underneath him. He had to wear a little eye mask as well to protect his eyes so we still got that closeness."

"I remember feeling a bit overwhelmed as I had all these outfits planned and I know it was silly at the time and not important but for me being a first time mum it felt like that excitement was taken away a little bit because he had to just wear a nappy for the phototherapy and the nurse came in with loads of cute preemie knitted hat and I got to pick one which really helped at the time as it made me feel a little bit in control of things."

She expressed her "forever grateful" sentiment as she went on to discuss her collaboration with Water Wipes. The former Gogglebox star welcomed her son Jude into the world back in June 2023. The I'm A Celebrity champion and her fiance Scott, who popped the question in a stunning proposal last November, had been trying to conceive "for a long time" before she became pregnant.

In a conversation with Giovanna Fletcher on her Happy mum Happy Baby podcast last year, Scarlett revealed she had consulted a fertility doctor to ensure "everything was OK".

"That was for November, and on my birthday in October I remember blowing my birthday candles out and wishing that it would happen, like, 'I really wish that I could have a baby'," she confessed. "Then two weeks later I found out that I was pregnant. It was a nice feeling emailing the fertility doctor, cancelling the appointment."
