Timothee Chalamet's surprise baby joy as fans share congratulatory messages

Timonthee Chalamet has become an uncle after his older sister welcomed her first child to the world.

Pauline Chalamet, 32, gave birth to her first child with partner Rhys Raiskin, with the Sex Lives of College Girls star sharing the brilliant news at Paris Fashion Week. Speaking to Barbie director Greta Gerwig at Stella McCartney's show in the French capital, she exclaimed: "I just had a baby."

In the clip shared on Twitter/X, Greta gasped: "No!," before Pauline responded: "Yeah," and hugged her man. "We just had a baby. Three weeks ago," she excitedly revealed. The duo stopped short of revealing the tot's name and gender. Pauline later shared an image from the event on Instagram wearing a bold Stella McCartney red suit and white cap combination.

Congrats on the baby," one user beamed in the comments section. Another added: "All the best for you and the baby," while a third sent a string of clapping hands emojis. Pauline first revealed that she was expecting her first child back in June. She appeared in a photo uploaded to friend Jeanne Damas' Instagram Stories. Her relationship timeline with Rhys isn't exactly known, but the pair were seen publicly as a couple in 2022.

Timothee is yet to publicly speak out about his sister's baby news. The Wonka star, 28, last posted on Instagram four weeks ago as he shared the news he was set to star as Bob Dylan. He is to star alongside Elle Fanning, Edward Norton and Monica Barbara in A Complete Unknown. The James Mangold film is set for release on December 25.

He is also currently filming in New York City as he shoots for new flick Marty Supreme. In the film, he takes on the role of Marty Reisman, who was a real life American table tennis champion. The sports star won the U.S. singles championship in 1958 and 1960 and also earned the title of U.S. hardbat champion in 1997.

The film is co-written and directed by Josh Safdie, who has previously worked on films such as Uncut Gems, starring Adam Sandler. Timothee looked almost unrecognisable as he took on the role. He was spotted in costume as Reisman and a number of his fans shared their excitement online about both his look and the film. As part of his transformation, Timothee has had to don a pair of glasses and grow a thin moustache. His hair is slicked back and her wore a period costume that includes a navy sweater vest over a pale green shirt.
