CBSE Board Exam 2026: Students can appear in the CBSE Board Exam 2026 even without an Apaar ID. The Central Board of Secondary Education has issued an important notice giving relief to the students regarding Apaar ID. CBSE has allowed schools to submit the list of students without creating an automatic Permanent Academic Account Registry ID (Apaar ID) in case of a technical glitch.
This happened when the schools mentioned some technical and administrative problems in creating the Apaar ID to the board. Apart from this, the board has also shared a list of necessary dates regarding the examination activities of class 10th and class 12th students. APAAR of children is not being made in many states. Due to this, the children who are going to study outside. They were facing a lot of problems. On the initiative of Union Minister of State for Education Sukant Majumdar, CBSE amended the rule and now children will be able to appear in the board examination even without an Apaar ID.
What was the matter?
Schools affiliated to the Central Board of Secondary Education cited potential technical and administrative challenges in generating Apaar IDs for Class 10 and Class 12 students. These included challenges in generating the IDs, a mismatch of data, delays in the process of correcting and updating data, and a lack of parental consent.
What did CBSE say?
When schools pointed out their challenges, CBSE considered the matter. As a result, the board granted a partial exemption for generating Apaar IDs. Now, the board has allowed schools to submit a List of Candidates (LOC) for board exams of Class 10 and Class 12 students without Apaar IDs, including entries such as ‘rejected’ and ‘not created’.
