Fans of the popular video game Grand Theft Auto (GTA) 6 will have to wait a little longer for its sixth installment. Rockstar Games announced in a social media post that the launch date for GTA 6 has been pushed back six months. The game will now be released on November 19, 2026.
Rockstar Games had previously announced that it would launch GTA 6 in 2026. However, players will now have to wait a little longer. Explaining the delay, Rockstar stated that they need some additional time to develop the game with the quality and polish that their players expect.
The company posted on social media that they regret having to push the release date back a little further. "In these additional months, we will work to bring the game to the level expected of us," Rockstar added.
Rockstar further stated that while the wait has been extended, they are extremely excited. "You will all be able to experience Leonida and the advanced Vice City soon."

Rockstar Games initially set a launch date for GTA 6 in late 2025. Later, it was pushed back to May 2026. Now, the company has pushed back the launch date again, offering November 2026. At that time, Rockstar stated that they were delaying the launch date to improve the game.
