Honda recalls CB350, CB300R, CB300F in India over this issue: Is yours affected?

Send Push
Honda Motorcycle & Scooter India has announced a recall of several models, including the popular Honda H’ness CB350 , CB350RS, CB300R , and CB300F . The recall affects bikes manufactured between October 2020 and April 2024, with the company citing a defect in the wheel speed sensor as the primary concern.

Honda models recall: What’s the issue

Honda has identified that due to an improper molding process, water could seep into the wheel speed sensor. This malfunction could result in inaccurate readings on the speedometer, as well as potential issues with the traction control and ABS systems . In more severe cases, the faulty sensor may compromise the effectiveness of the braking system.

In addition to the wheel speed sensor issue, Honda is also recalling specific units of the CB350, H’ness CB350, and CB350RS models manufactured between June and July 2024 for potential camshaft defects . The improper manufacturing process for the camshaft could lead to performance degradation, though no accidents related to this issue have been reported so far.

Honda recall : Will you pay?
Honda has said in a statement that the replacement of affected components will be carried out at authorized BigWing dealerships across India, free of charge, regardless of the bike's warranty status. While the exact number of recalled units hasn’t been disclosed, the Honda H’ness CB350 and CB350RS, which have enjoyed strong sales, are expected to make up a significant portion of the recalled bikes.

Customers with affected bikes are advised to visit their nearest Honda service center for a free inspection and replacement of faulty parts.
