Nagpur (Maharashtra) [India], April 25 (ANI): Defence Expert Shiwalee Deshpande on Friday mocked Pakistan after their Army troops opened fire at some places along the Line of Control (LoC) and stated that a "shattered" Pakistan was bound to do all this.
Deshpande further stated that Pakistan was a "cowardly" nation and a country which only spoke lies.
Speaking to ANI, the Defence expert said, "A shattered Pakistani is bound to do all this... The moment the Pahalgam attack happened, all the Pakistani planes were brought to the borders of India and Pakistan knew that India would take certain strong steps. Still, now it is clearly showing that Pakistan is shattered and scared. Cancelling the Shimla agreement and imposing additional conditions on India...all these are signs of a cowardly nation. Pakistan is a country which speaks utter lies."
She further stated that there was no point in Pakistan trying for peace talks with India because what was to be done would be done by India.
"The moment India declared that the Indus water treaty did not exist, Pakistan understood what had hit them. Now that the treaty has been halted, Punjab and Sindh will have no electricity or access to farming, which will impact their economy. Now there is no point in peace talks with them, because no matter what has to be done, it will be done by India," she said.
Pakistan Army Troops opened fire at some places along the Line of Control on Friday, which prompted an immediate retaliation from the Indian Army, as per officials.
"Small Arms Firing at some places on the Line of Control initiated by the Pakistan Army. Effectively responded to by the Indian Army. No casualties," Indian Army officials said.
Meanwhile, Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi is touring Jammu and Kashmir's Srinagar to assess the security situation in the region following the recent terror attack in Pahalgam."Army chief General Upendra Dwivedi will leave for Srinagar and Udhampur shortly," the Defence officials said.
According to Defence officials, the Army Chief is scheduled to meet senior Army commanders deployed in the Kashmir Valley, along with officials from other security agencies. He will be reviewing the ongoing security situation in the valley and attempts by the Pakistan Army to violate the ceasefire along the Line of Control there. (ANI)
