Startups raised around $309.7 million between March 29 and April 4, marking an almost 3.3 times increase compared to the same period last year.
This also represents a 17.9% increase from last week’s total of $262.7 million.
This week, startups across seed, early, and late stages raised funds through 25 deals, compared to 75 deals in the year-ago period, when they raised a total of $92.1 million, according to data from Tracxn.
Top deals for the week:
Spinny: Gurugram-based used-car sales platform Spinny closed a $131 million funding round led by US-based Accel Leaders Fund at a flat valuation of around $1.7-1.8 billion.
Scapia: Travel-focused fintech startup Scapia, founded by former Flipkart senior executive Anil Goteti, raised $40 million in a funding round led by Peak XV Partners, with existing investors Elevation Capital, Z47, and 3State Capital participating.
Infinity Fincorp: Mumbai-based non-banking finance company (NBFC) Infinity Fincorp raised $40 million in an extended Series A funding round led by Beams Fintech Fund.
Pratilipi: Digital storytelling platform Pratilipi closed a $20 million round led by Jungle Ventures.
