Delhi Airport on Wednesday announced that the revamped Terminal 2 will house IndiGo (2000 Series) and Air India (1000 Series) starting October 26.
"Terminal 2 will now be home for: IndiGo (2000 Series) Air India (1000 Series) as they will be operating from T2 starting 26th Oct'25," it said in a statement.
Due to ongoing expansion activities at Terminal 3 (T3) by DIAL, Air India will relocate 60 of its 180 daily domestic departures out of Delhi to the upgraded Terminal 2 (T2).
IndiGo will operate flights numbered 6E 2000 to 6E 2999 from Terminal 2, starting Oct 26. Meanwhile, flights numbered 6E 5000 to 6E 5999, along with all international departures, will operate from Terminal 3. All other domestic flights will continue to operate from Terminal 1.
GMR AERO-led Delhi International Airport Limited (DIAL) undertook the comprehensive upgrade work to make T2 future-ready to meet the growing passenger traffic. It was temporarily closed to carry out the upgrade work in April, when Terminal 1 became fully operational.
The airport authority announced that approximately 120 daily domestic flights operated by Air India and Indigo are set to shift operations to the upgraded Terminal 2.

The revamped terminal also features high-resolution Flight Information Display System (FIDS) that provides real-time flight information with greater accuracy, enhancing passenger convenience.
