Shefali Jariwala's fans were left shocked and bereaved as news of her death spread like wildfire on social media. The actress-dancer, best known for the 2002 music video ‘ Kaanta Laga’, passed away on Friday at the age of 42. As per reports, she had a cardiac arrest. She was rushed to Bellevue Multispecialty Clinic but was declared dead upon arrival.
Much before the age of the Internet and instant viral fame, Shefali became an overnight sensation with the sensuous dance number ‘Kaanta Laga’. However, her brush with fame did not stop there. A couple of years later, she made her Bollywood debut and shared screen space with not just one, but two superstars—Salman Khan and Akshay Kumar.
Shefali appeared in the 2004 romantic comedy ‘ Mujhse Shaadi Karogi’ along with Priyanka Chopra, Salman Khan, and Akshay Kumar. She stepped into the role of a dancer named Bijli. Although her on-screen time was brief, she was able to steal the show with her signature dance moves along with Kumar.
Aside from wowing fans with her twinkle toes, Jariwala also excelled academically. As per a report from Stars Unfolded, Jariwala, who hailed from Gujarat, held a degree in information technology from Sardar Patel College Of Engineering.
