Ayushmann Khurrana is currently in the news for his upcoming film, "Thama." It's the next installment in Maddock Films' horror-comedy universe. This is Ayushmann's first time participating in this universe. At the recent trailer launch event, Ayushmann expressed his happiness at joining the universe. He also described "Thama" as a special film for him.

"Thama" is very special to me.
Speaking during the trailer launch event, Ayushmann Khurrana said, "This film is very special to me. I always wanted to be a part of the Maddock horror-comedy universe. It's one of the most beloved universes in the history of Indian cinema. As a normal person, I'm surrounded by unusual things, supernatural powers, and I don't know what to do with them all. So, it's very unique. This world is moving forward into the next chapter with "Thama." It's really exciting." This is new for me.
'Thama' is my first Diwali release.
Describing 'Thama' as a family entertainer, Ayushmann said that the film has more comedy and less horror. This is the first time one of my films is releasing on Diwali. I am doubly excited. This is on every actor's bucket list. 'Thama' will add a lot to the horror world and it also takes the story of this universe forward.

'Thama' to release on October 21
Produced by Maddock Films and directed by Aditya Sarpotdar, 'Thama' will release in theaters on October 21, coinciding with Diwali. The film also stars Rashmika Mandanna, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, and Paresh Rawal in lead roles alongside Ayushmann. 'Thama' is the next film in the horror-comedy universe. This universe, which began with 'Stree' in 2018, has so far included films like 'Bhediya', 'Munjya', and 'Stree 2'.
