Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh): A mentally unsound man went missing in Bandhavgarh area under mysterious circumstances and local people apprehended that it may have been dragged inside the jungle by a feline as had happened with a 14-year-old boy sometimes back.
Police with the help of forest officials conducted a two-day thorough search inside jungles situated close to Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve area.
To the utter surprise of everyone, the missing man identified as Munnalal (aged around 45 years) was found in some other village. He has no bodily injuries but he is unable to tell that where did he remain in the last two days.
Field Director of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve, Anupam Sahay confirmed that police with the help of forest squad conducted a thorough search inside the jungles to search Munna Lal who was a mentally unsound person.
People fathomed that he may have been attacked by a tiger as had happened in past cases. However, Munnalal was located in another village. It is up to police to tell things related to the entire episode. It is learnt that Munnalal was found in Amadpur village. Even elephant squad was used to search Munnalal inside jungle areas.
Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve is having an overflowing population of big cats and often they venture near village areas and attack villagers. Sometimes back, a fourteen-year-old boy was killed by a tigress and the incident happened on the outskirt area of Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve.
Later the tigress also injured a woman. After this, the tigress was rescued and kept inside the enclosure. As Munnalal has been recovered safely, everyone heaved a sigh of relief. Notably, Bandhavgarh is having the highest incidents of cases wherein tiger attacksvillagers.
