The Shivaji Nagar police have arrested a man for allegedly sexually assaulting a seven-year-old boy in Ambernath. The incident occurred within the jurisdiction of the Shivaji Nagar Police Station.
According to the police, the boy was lured by his neighbor with chocolate and taken to the neighbor's home. The accused then allegedly unzipped his pants and exposed his private parts to the victim. Frightened, the boy managed to escape and rushed to his parents.
He narrated the entire ordeal to them, after which the parents filed a First Information Report (FIR) against the accused under relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyay Sanhita and the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act. Based on the FIR, the police apprehended the accused. He was produced in court and remanded into police custody for further investigation.
