Lucknow: Lucknow has been ranked the third cleanest city in the country among cities with a population exceeding 10 lakh, marking a major milestone in its sanitation efforts. Following the announcement, the city’s Municipal Corporation headquarters witnessed festive celebrations on Friday. The premises were adorned with flowers, balloons, rangoli, and a red carpet as Mayor Sushma Kharkwal returned with the award.
The mayor and her team were welcomed with flower showers and drumbeats. Staff members danced to traditional music while local councillors and residents greeted the award-winning team at multiple locations acrossthe city.
