SaaS unicorn startup LeadSquared reduced its net loss by 45% to INR 89.2 Cr in the financial year 2024-25 (FY25) from INR 162.2 Cr in the previous year, driven by a decline in total expenses as well as an uptick in its top line.
The startup’s operating revenue rose 14% to INR 326.2 Cr in the year under review from INR 279.2 Cr in FY24.
Including other income of INR 40 Cr, the WestBridge Capital-backed startup’s total revenue rose 13% year-on-year (YOY) to INR 366.3 Cr from INR 325.2 Cr in the financial year.
Founded in 2011 by Nilesh Patel, Sudhakar Gorti and Prashant Singh, LeadSquared offers vertical SaaS platforms to automate sales, marketing, and customer onboarding for businesses, especially those with high lead volumes and multiple sales teams.
It helps capture and manage leads, automate workflows, personalise customer engagement, and provide a unified view of customers to improve sales efficiency and customer service.
The startup serves a rapidly growing customer base of over 1,800 clients across diverse industries and geographies, with India and the US being the strongest markets. Its clientele hail from industries like education, healthcare, BFSI, real estate, among others.
The Bengaluru-based startup competes with the likes of Zoho, Browserstack, Amagi, and Freshworks in the sales automation space. To date, it has raised over $204 Mn in external funding from investors like Westbridge Capital, IFC, among others.
The startup turned unicorn in 2022 after raising $153 Mn from WestBridge in a Series C funding round.
Where Did LeadSquare Spend?
LeadSquared’s overall expenses declined 6.5% to INR 454.6 in FY25 from INR 486.45 Cr in FY24, with employee costs emerging as the biggest expense bucket.
Employee Benefits Expense: The spending under this head dipped 8.4% to INR 280.2 Cr during the year under review from INR 306.2 Cr last year.
Other Expenses: The expense under this head remained almost flat to INR 156.7 Cr in FY25 from 156.8 Cr in FY24.
Depreciation and Amortisation Expense: The company managed to trim its expenditure in this bracket by 18% to INR 14.3 Cr in FY25 from INR 18.8 Cr in FY24.
