There are daily flights to Kathmandu from the airport. But in bad weather, or when there are too many clouds or too much wind, this airport is closed for security reasons. You will be surprised to know that there is also a 600-meter-deep ditch around the runway.

Simikot Airport

Simikot Airport is the only airport in Nepal that is not connected to the National Road Network. This airport is located at an altitude of 4,300 meters and serves as an entry point for people traveling to Dolpa district in western Nepal. Being far from any major city or town, it is considered one of the most dangerous airports in Nepal. This airport is also known as Humla Airport. Very few facilities are available at this airport.

Talcha Airport

Talcha Airport is known as one of the most dangerous airports in Nepal located in Rara National Park in Mrighu district in Nepal. This airport is also located at an altitude of 2,735 meters like other airports. Most of the time you will see snow here, due to which the chances of the plane slipping increases, and many accidents can happen due to engine shutdown along with many other problems in the cold.

Mustang Airport

Mustang Airport is also considered one of the most dangerous airports in Nepal. This airport is also known as Jomjom Airport. This airport is the gateway to the Mustang district which includes Jomsom, Kagbeni, Tangbe, Lo Manthang, and Muktinath Temple. It is located at an altitude of 2,736 meters above sea level. Flights take off from this airport daily when the weather is clear, but when the weather changes and strong winds blow, this airport is closed and flights are delayed. Strong winds blow in this entire area in the morning. Apart from this, visibility in this airport remains very low throughout the year.

Dolpa Airport, also known as Juphal Airport, is a very dangerous airport in Nepal. This airport is located at an altitude of 2,499 meters. This airport located in the Dolpa district of Nepal is also no less dangerous.

Pokhara Airport
Pokhara Airport is also considered to be the most dangerous airport in Nepal. This airport was opened on 1 January 2023 this year. A big plane crashed near Pokhara Airport on Sunday, January 15, 2023. According to the information, Yeti Airlines' ATR-72 aircraft took off from Kathmandu to Pokhara. There were 68 passengers and four crew members, i.e. a total of 72 people in this 72-seater aircraft. The plane had just reached near Pokhara when it crashed just 10 seconds before landing. According to Nepali media, this accident took place between Pokhara's old domestic airport and Pokhara International Airport.
