Car smashes into Jennifer Aniston's Bel Air mansion with intruder apprehended in star's second crash incident to home

An unidentified intruder has smashed through the gates at home in Bel Air, leaving her front gate visibly damaged in a shocking incident at the 'Friends' star's mansion.

A vehicle crashed through the gate on Monday afternoon in Los Angeles, around 12.20pm.

Police received reports of an attempted at the address on Airole Way and rushed to the scene.

However, it is understood that the star's personal security was able to apprehend the individual before they arrived.

Members of Aniston's security team held the intruder at gunpoint while they waited for backup to arrive.

The 56-year-old actress, who is believed to have been home at the time, was not injured in the incident.

“There was a victim who was home at the time, who was not injured,” the LAPD said in a statement.

The person who smashed through the fence, a white man in his 70s according to reports, was arrested at the scene and taken into custody.

News channel KTLA went to survey the damage and reported the gate being opened and closed manually.

Parts of the structure clearly damaged and hanging off.

The car crash is the second such instance in which an intruder has attempted to gain access to the Friends star's home.

In 2015, just three years after she bought the mansion for $20 million, a through the property's border.

A security guard reportedly called police immediately after it happened and when cops arrived the man claimed he wasn't behind the wheel at the time.

Video footage from the Friends star's home contradicted his claims, according to TMZ, and the suspect was arrested a short time later when he failed a sobriety test.

The drunk driving incident wiped out parts of Aniston's lawn and destroyed her expensive floral arrangements.
