It’s no secret that planning a wedding can be a huge expense, with everything from the venue and flowers to your outfit costing thousands of pounds. So if you’re looking for clever ways to cut the costs, or even if you have an important event coming up that you want to save money on, Cutter & Squidge’s new naked celebration cake range is perfect.
The new launch features a variety of different naked cakes, with different tiered options, flavours and fillings available, not to mention the options for different decorations. The cakes can be delivered directly to your doorstep or venue, making them a great way to get professional service on a budget.

The cakes range in price from £42.99 for a single tier Strawberry Eat-On Mess Cake to £649.99 for a four tier Floral Ruffle Wedding Cake, with plenty of different price points in between to suit all budgets. The tiered cakes also allow you to pick multiple different flavours, with options including lemon, raspberry, double chocolate salted caramel, hazelnut and chocolate, and eaton mess.
The most affordable option, the Strawberry Eat-On Mess Cake is perfect for intimate dinners or birthdays, featuring three layers of vanilla sponge, strawberry buttercream, handmade strawberry jam, vanilla custard and light meringue. It’s finished with sliced strawberries, white chocolate balls and more meringue pieces.
There are some limitations as to where your cakes can be delivered, however. The single tiered cakes, like the Tiramisu, Blueberry Lemon Cheesecake, Passionfruit and Pistachio and The Chocolate Squidge, can all be delivered anywhere across the UK with a range of delivery options.
Meanwhile most of the more elaborate and delicate cakes, like the tiered wedding cakes, can only currently be delivered to London addresses (where Cutter & Squidge is based). However if you live further afield than the capital, there are several other bakeries who do nationwide delivery.
Patisserie Valerie offers delivery across the UK, so you can get cakes like the Classic Habana Gateau (£38.95) delivered straight to your door ready for a celebration or an event. The delivery applies to just about everything on the brand’s website, so you can pick from birthday cakes to everyday ones, and even vegan options.
If you prefer something a little more bitesize, Rachael’s Kitchen delivers its cupcakes nationwide, and you can choose your own flavours or opt for the Tasting Menu in boxes of six or 12 from £25. Elsewhere Betty’s Box of 6 Fondant Fancies are £21.50 and can be delivered to your doorstep no matter where in the UK you’re living.
However if you’re keen to get your hands on a treat from Cutter & Squidge’s naked celebration cake range, you can shop options from £42.99 now, not to mention pick up some of the brand’s famed brownies, afternoon teas and hampers, all of which can be sent to your home.
