A large-scale benefit concert for Palestine is set to take place to raise funds for Palestinian-led charities. Organised by Brian Eno, Together for Palestine will be bringing together Palestinian and British artists for the UK's largest fundraising concert for Gaza.
Huge names in the entertainment industry have revealed that they'll be in attendance. Celebrities include Florence Pugh, Benedict Cumberbatch, Riz Ahmed, PinkPantheress, Bastille, Paloma Faith, Manchester United legend Eric Cantona, Chicken Shop Date host Amelia Dimoldenberg, TV presenter Laura Whitmore, and many more.
The event will be held at Wembley Arena on September 17 and will be livestreamed on YouTube. Comedian Guz Khan will be hosting the event. According to the NME, Khan said in a statement: "When you see kids in Gaza facing bombs instead of books, you realise this can't be normalised. That silence isn't an option. That's why this concert matters.

"'Together for Palestine' is about solidarity, love - and saying we see you, we stand with you. When I got the call asking me to host, it was a no-brainer. This is about using my platform to back justice, and reminding people that standing up for humanity is everyone's job," he added.
The event will also be attended by United Nations Special Rapporteur Francesca Albanese, renowned journalists Mehdi Hasan and Louis Theroux and Holocaust survivor Stephen Kapos.
Brian Eno explained the importance of the concert: "In the face of the horrors of Gaza, silence becomes complicity. Artists have always helped societies to point out injustice and imagine better futures. That's why this concert matters. It's time for us to come together - not just to raise our voices, but to reaffirm our shared humanity."
The concert will distribute money raised to Palestinian-led organisations: Taawon, the Palestine Children's Relief Fund, and the Palestine Medical Relief Society. 100% of the donations made will be to British charity Choose Love, who are working with 23 partner organisations in Gaza delivering food, medical supplies and other areas of support.
The performances tomorrow are set to be interwoven by interstitials directed and curated by Amir Nizar Zuabi, which will showcase doctors, teachers, journalists, aid workers and other people working in Gaza.
The concert is being produced by Khaled Ziada, founder and director of the London Palestine film festival alongside Eno and Tracey Seaward, who was the film producer for the London 2012 Olympic opening ceremony.
Ziada commented on the silence of "governments and mainstream media" and how "in the face of genocide, this gathering becomes a chorus of resistance - where artists and communities come together to grieve, to rage and to stand shoulder to shoulder with the Palestinian people."

Other artists set to perform also commented on their reasons joining the concert. Rachel Chinouriri, who supported Sabrina Carpenter's tour, encouraged other musicians to join her in "building a bridge to victims in Gaza and beyond, we must break through the privilege of our bubble and speak with truth and justice."
Tickets are sold out, but the event will be livestreamed on YouTube from 7pm on Wednesday, and more details of the event will be shared on social media on the day.
