JoJo Siwa's ex breaks down over hidden heartbreaking grief before Chris Hughes controversy

JoJo Siwa's ex-partner Kath Ebbs has revealed that she was battling grief over the loss of her best friend while the Celebrity star struck up a close bond with Chris Hughes on the show.

Speaking on her podcast Conversations with Kath, the 27-year-old content creator opened up about her acrimonious split from JoJo Siwa in depth - after previously admitting that JoJo dumped her at the show's after party. Kath revealed that she had spoken to JoJo before about how she would cope as the anniversary of her best friend's death approached.

"The conversations were more so around - so I sadly lost my ex-boyfriend but one of my best friends and the anniversary period of that was going to be when she was in the house," she said. "So a lot of our conversations were centered around how she didn't want me to feel abandoned in that and I didn't feel like she was.

"There were definitely time where I felt triggered and I acted out in certain ways that I now look back on I'm like, 'Ah I was anxious about her leaving,' because I have pretty hectic abandonment stuff. Our conversations were more around how I was going to be held in my grief while I can't speak to my partner who is a massive support system in that."

She added that she went on to have a " class meltdown" after seeing a clip of JoJo crawling into bed with Chris - the day before the anniversary of her friend's death.

"I went down for a nap and I woke up, scrolled on TikTok and there was a clip of her crawling into Chris's bed in the middle of the night. It had just been uploaded. My heart fell through my f**king a*****e.

"I had the world's biggest meltdown. I called one of my best mates looking for validation, I was like, 'I'm having a hard time, am I just being crazy?' One thing about me is I'm really progressive, I have intimate friendships. I peck friends. I'm really f**king progressive in the way that I view friendship and I didn't know why this was triggering me."

She added that she was sobbing on the bathroom floor, saying: "It was the day before the anniversary of my friend's death so I felt really fragile and really alone."
