Laura Kenny sends beautiful message to 'incredible' Chris Hoy after diagnosis

British cyclist Dame Laura Kenny has shared a heartwarming message to her colleague Chris Hoy, stating she'll always be there for him.

Appearing on Tuesday morning's Lorraine (October 22), Laura spoke to presenter Christine Lampard about her incredible sports career. But Christine also touched upon Chris Hoy's recent terminal diagnosis.

Olympic champion Chris recently hit headlines after he revealed he has terminal cancer and had "two to four years" left to live. Talking about Chris and his wife Sarra Kemp, who has been diagnosed with an aggressive type of Multiple sclerosis, Laura shared a heartfelt message.

She said: "Chris and Sarra are two of the most incredible people and their beautiful children as well, there the most incredible people." She also spoke about how her family is very close to Chris'.

She added: "We're there for them whenever they need us just like any friend. But yeah it is so sad, we wish them the best."

Christine added: "We all do! We all absolutely do!"

In snippets from his upcoming memoir, All That Matters: My Toughest Race Yet, Chris, 48, disclosed that just a few weeks before he received the news that he had stage four tumours in his shoulder, pelvis, hip, spine and rib, his wife, Sarra, was also diagnosed with "active and aggressive" multiple sclerosis after her doctor investigated a tingling sensation in her face and tongue.
