Netflix has just added an iconic comedy film that’s still scandalous and hilarious over a decade after it was first released.
Starring one of Hollywood’s most beloved comedic actresses, this irreverent film from 2011 still has a strong contingent of fans 14 years after it had audiences rolling in the cinema aisles.
Streamers looking for plenty of crude gags and snarky humour now have the chance to get a dose of nostalgia now Bad Teacher has been added to Netflix’s catalogue this October.

Cameron Diaz stars in this riotous tale of a cynical middle school teacher who dreams of leaving her humdrum life to marry rich.
When her dreams are shattered by a broken engagement, she quickly sets her sights on wealthy new substitute teacher Scott Delacorte (played by Justin Timberlake) while ignoring the advances of affable gym teacher, Russell (Jason Segel).

Comedy lovers have continued to enjoy this off-kilter rom-com over the past decade and a half, and now is the perfect time for a re-watch now it’s once again in Netflix’s catalogue.
One fan gave it a five-star Google review, penning: “Bad Teacher is irreverent, crude, amoral and offensive on many levels. But that’s also what makes it a bit of fun.
“A B-grade cast has been assembled for this gold digger-gone-wrong comedy. The characters are fairly predictable, as is the storyline but that makes it light hearted and easy to watch.”
Another rave review warned: “Definitely not for the "uptight" or "prudish" viewer (which I have been accused of many times).
“But the movie was exactly what it was meant to be ... a comedy. Albeit, a bit raunchy at times, you know right from the opening few minutes whether you should watch it or not.
“With the mess that our world is in right now, it's refreshing to be able to find an escape to laugh once in a while.”
And a final fan gushed: “Diaz is the Queen of Comedy, I forget just how funny she is sometimes.
“Bad Teacher had me laughing out loud consistently and I would actually say that on the ratio of hits-to-misses, there were more jokes that hit for me here. It was a really fun watch.
“I loved how horrible Cameron Diaz's character Elizabeth was and thought it was hilarious that the film just lets her be bad, there is no moral lesson here.”
Are you in the mood for a side-splitting comedy this weekend? Netflix has the answer.
