Chandigarh: Kafi, a determined student, has made her family proud by scoring an impressive 95.6% in the CBSE Class 12 board exams. Her father, Pawan, who works as an autorickshaw driver and a contract worker in Chandigarh, expressed his overwhelming joy and pride in her accomplishments.
A Story of Resilience
Kafi, a 17-year-old acid attack survivor from Hisar, dreams of becoming an IAS officer. Her father recounted the tragic incident when she was just two years old, stating, "A neighbor poured acid on her, resulting in her blindness. Despite numerous hospital visits over six years, we were told her vision would not return. After her treatment, we focused on her education, and I will support her in every endeavor."
Kafi's Perspective
In her own words, Kafi shared, "I currently reside in Chandigarh and study at the Institute for the Blind. I scored 95.6% in Class 12 and 95.2% in Class 10. Being visually impaired presented many challenges, but my parents and teachers were instrumental in helping me overcome them. Technology, especially audio resources, played a crucial role in my studies."
Gratitude and Motivation
Kafi expressed her gratitude towards her parents, stating, "They have sacrificed so much for me, and I aspire to repay them through my achievements. To other students, I advise focusing on hard work rather than distractions from social media. Humility and kindness are essential qualities to cultivate."
