Rajasthan is once again reeling under the grip of intense heat after a short spell of rain provided temporary relief. The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a Yellow Alert for heatwave conditions across several districts of the state. According to the forecast, temperatures are likely to rise by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius over the next four to five days.
🔥 Barmer Records Highest Temperature at 45.4°COn Monday, Barmer turned out to be the hottest city in the state with a maximum temperature of 45.4°C, which is 5 degrees above normal. The minimum temperature was recorded at 27.8°C. The humidity levels across Rajasthan ranged between 16% and 78%, indicating dry and harsh weather conditions.

The IMD has predicted that most parts of the state will experience dry weather in the coming days, with a sharp increase in temperature. Between April 15 to 17, western Rajasthan districts bordering Pakistan are likely to face severe heatwave conditions, with temperatures soaring between 45°C to 46°C.
Meanwhile, regions in eastern Rajasthan — particularly Shekhawati, Jaipur, and Bharatpur divisions — are also expected to see temperatures between 42°C to 44°C. Isolated areas might witness extremely severe heatwave conditions as well.
⚠️ Public Advisory:Residents are advised to stay hydrated, avoid direct sunlight during peak afternoon hours, and take necessary precautions, especially children, the elderly, and those with health conditions.
