Guntur: Fourteen people were severely injured in an explosion that occurred on Monday in Andhra Pradesh's Ambedkar Konaseema district, according to police reports. The blast took place in a residential building in Ravulacheruvu, Amalapuram town, where unauthorized firecracker manufacturing was underway.
The explosion caused significant damage to the two-story building, with the structure being severely affected, police said. All the injured individuals were promptly taken to the Amalapuram Area Hospital, where one person is reported to be in critical condition.
Local MLA Aythabattula Ananda Rao, along with Amalapuram Town Police officials, visited the site to assess the damage and the situation. The exact cause of the explosion remains unknown at this time. Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the cause of the accident.
