Israel-Iran War News LIVE: Escalating Tensions in the Israel-Iran Conflict

Israel-Iran War Live Updates: Tensions continue to rise in the Middle East as Iran fired over 180 ballistic missiles at Israel on October 1, 2024. This escalation follows a recent statement by United Nations Secretary General Antonio Guterres, highlighting a cycle of increasing conflict in the region.

The missile strikes occurred just a day after Israel announced it had initiated limited ground operations in southern Lebanon and warned Iran of potential consequences for its actions. This response from Iran comes after the recent killing of key Hezbollah leaders, including Hassan Nasrallah.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu condemned Iran's missile attacks, stating, "Iran made a big mistake tonight - and it will pay for it." He emphasized that Israel will ensure there is a cost for this aggression. Meanwhile, the Indian Embassy in Israel has urged all Indian nationals to remain vigilant and follow safety protocols issued by local authorities.

In a response, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi declared that Iran's military actions are concluded unless the "Israeli regime decides to invite further retaliation." He warned that any future actions by Israel could provoke a stronger and more powerful response from Iran.

Additionally, Iran has cautioned the United States against intervening in the conflict, with Araghchi stating that Iran will respond to any US involvement.

Vice President Kamala Harris also spoke out against the missile attack, saying, "I unequivocally condemn Iran’s reckless and brazen attack against Israel today." She reaffirmed the US commitment to Israel's security and emphasized the importance of their cooperation in preventing further violence.

The situation remains fluid, with global implications as both nations prepare for potential further escalations.
