BBC Breakfast viewers were given an "important warning" during Friday's show as Ben Thompson and Naga Munchetty spoke to weather reporter Matt Taylor.
Handing over to Matt, Naga asked: "There's a heat alert today, isn't there?" He agreed, informing viewers heat is building once again across the UK.
He revealed there are some parts of the country which are heading back into "heat wave territory".
Matt added: "Let's talk about the heath health alert that's been issued. It's an amber one, that's the second stage up between now and Tuesday."
"It's basically for health and social services; they're going to expect an increase in demand over the next few days as the vulnerable and elderly start to get impacted by high daytime and high nighttime temperatures."
Matt then showed a map, with the alert only covering England at the moment, to show which areas would be impacted the most.
Currently, the Southern part of England and some of the East Midlands are under an amber warning, with a yellow alert in Yorkshire and the West Midlands.
He added: "Even though we've not got any alerts across Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland, these are areas where the temperatures are not going to get as high over the next few days. Even today will be a fairly cloudy and damp day for some."
Matt highlighted some areas that will be experiencing rain today, with hazy sunshine across the south.
He said: "Across the board, we're going to see a fairly warm and humid night once again. Temperatures holding up in the high teens for the vast majority of us as we head into the start of the weekend."
As he wrapped up the weather forecast, he reiterated there is building heat in the south of England, with temperatures reaching up to a possible 34 degrees on Monday.
He added: "June record is at 35.6C, that was set in 1976, we will get very close to that. But of course, I have to add the humidity levels will be high. That's going to make it feel particularly uncomfortable, and those nights will be very warm as well."
Handing back over to the two presenters in the studio, Ben said: "Matt, thanks very much and important warning there, thank you."
