Chelsea striker at centre of tense transfer row as leaked details emerge

Nicolas Jackson's representatives have fired back at Bayern Munich chief Uli Hoeness following his public revelation of the player's transfer details and his assertion that the striker's loan move from Chelsea would "never" become permanent. Jackson's switch to Munich has proved chaotic before he's even kicked a ball, after travelling to Germany to finalise his deal, only to be summoned back by Chelsea when they lost Liam Delap to injury.

Ultimately, the Senegal international defied orders and secured his transfer to the Bavarian club after Chelsea recalled Marc Guiu, with Bayern stumping up a £14.3million loan fee. However, fresh complications are now emerging. Jackson's temporary move to Bayern was understood to feature a £56.2m obligation to purchase next season, though this weekend Hoeness insisted this would only activate if the player appeared 40 times - something he claimed wouldn't occur.

He noted that even talisman Harry Kane only managed 42 appearances last campaign.

Jackson is expected to operate as an understudy to the England captain and won't be a consistent starter.

"It's not a €16.5m loan fee, because the player and his agent are contributing €3m, so that leaves €13.5m," he told Sport1. "And there will definitely not be a permanent contract. That only happens if he plays 40 games from the start. He will never do that."

Hoeness' remarks have clearly rankled the Jackson camp, with his agent and former Fulham star Diomansky Kamara posting a cryptic message on social media on Sunday. "Many speak, but few tell the truth," Kamara said.

Jackson is gearing up for a massive fixture against Congo on Tuesday that could determine Senegal's World Cup qualification hopes.

During the same discussion, Hoeness revealed further insights into Bayern's transfer dealings as he explained their decision to withdraw from pursuing Florian Wirtz, whilst launching a scathing attack on Liverpool for their enormous outlay on the midfielder. He also slammed Newcastle's hefty expenditure on Nick Woltemade.

"Of course, we would have liked to have Florian Wirtz, but we'd never have bought him for €150m. We offered €55m for Nick Woltemade, while Stuttgart wanted €75m. In the end he went to Newcastle for €90m.

"He isn't worth €90m. That only happened because of the money flowing from Saudi Arabia."
