The Witcher's fourth series will showcase a completely fresh Geralt of Rivia as Hunger Games actor Liam Hemsworth takes on the mantle of the legendary beast slayer.
Crafted by Polish fantasy writer Andrzej Sapkowski, his chart-topping book collection has previously inspired a video game trilogy and three Netflix series.
Nevertheless, following three outings as Geralt, leading man Henry Cavill chose to step away from the programme, paving the way for Hemsworth to assume the character.
Viewers are preparing for additional spectacular clashes across the Continent as Geralt, alongside Yennefer of Vengerberg (portrayed by Anya Chalotra) and Princess Ciri (Freya Allan), makes his comeback this Thursday (30th October).
Meanwhile, let's examine what we understand about Hemsworth's existence beyond the cameras, reports the Mirror.
Famous familyLiam Hemsworth hails from Australia and grew up in Melbourne with mother Leonie van Os, a writer, and father Craig Thompson, who worked in social services.
During his secondary school years, his family moved to Phillip Island, located southeast of Melbourne.
He's notably the youngest sibling of two acting brothers: Marvel's Thor performer Chris Hemsworth and Westworld's Luke Hemsworth.
The three maintain a tight relationship, despite occasional brotherly competition, with Liam describing Chris as his "hero" in a GQ interview.
"He's honestly my last call," he revealed during the 2019 conversation.
"When I find myself in a position where I'm 50-50 about a script, then I call Chris.
"And his opinion I trust more than anyone in my team."
The Hemsworth clan has been dealt a devastating blow as their father Craig has been diagnosed with early-stage Alzheimer's disease.
This diagnosis also puts Liam and his brothers at an increased risk of developing the same condition.
While The Witcher star has kept his family's health struggle under wraps, Chris has confronted the issue head-on with a new documentary, Chris Hemsworth: A Road Trip to Remember. In this film, the father and son duo journey across Australia's Northern Territory, revisiting cherished memories.
"The result was a more profound, more moving, and more surprising journey than I ever anticipated," Chris revealed in a statement.
Liam's most notable romance thus far has been his tumultuous relationship with pop sensation Miley Cyrus, which began on the set of the film The Last Song.
Their love story started in 2009, with several breakups and reconciliations before they announced their engagement in 2012.
After cohabiting in Los Angeles for a while, they confirmed their separation in September 2013. However, three years later, rumours started circulating that they had reignited their romance after being seen together at Liam's Malibu residence.
Miley was spotted wearing her engagement ring again, and during an October 2016 appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, she confirmed that the engagement was back on.
The couple finally said their vows on 23rd December 2018 in Nashville, Tennessee, but the marriage only lasted for seven months.
Liam initiated the divorce proceedings in August 2019 and by 28th January 2020, their separation was finalised.
Current relationshipPresently, Liam is in a relationship with Australian model Gabriella Brooks, with rumours of them dating starting back in 2019.
Their relationship was confirmed with an Instagram post in 2020 after they spent the Covid-19 lockdown together.
In September, the couple shared the news of their engagement through a charming social media post.
The Witcher season 4 premieres Thursday, 30th October on Netflix.
