Luke Littler, the teenage darts prodigy who first took to the oche at a mere 18 months old, has rapidly risen to become one of the sport's biggest stars at just 17. The young talent's extraordinary debut year in professional darts has seen him reach the World Championship final and secure major titles such as the Premier League, World Series of Darts Finals and Belgian Darts Open.
His exceptional skills have inspired a new generation of budding players across the nation, with many eager to perfect their own dart-throwing abilities. One item expected to top numerous Christmas lists this festive season is a
the set features a robust double-sided magnetic board, with a traditional dartboard on one side and an archery-style target on the other. Not only does playing darts improve hand-eye coordination, but it also enhances mental maths skills, making it an excellent game for children.
The magnetic feature ensures safety for younger players. Shopping writer Narin Flanders predicted the board would be a Christmas hit after testing it at this year's Big Christmas Show.
Discussing the popularity of Luke Littler and how his darting prowess has inspired families to engage in the sport, the mother commented: "Luke Littler famously picked up his first set of darts as a toddler and this magnetic set is a budget-friendly, safe way to get all the family playing together. Initially, when I saw it I assumed it'd be a cash-in with little replay value - we've all played with magnetic toys where you've things don't stick properly and the build quality isn't as good as the idea of the game",
She continued to praise the product's high-quality saying, "This is completely different. When you throw the darts they land on the board with a satisfying thunk and stick properly meaning you can have a proper game. The double-sided board is a nice touch and everything about it makes it the perfect reasonably-priced present that will see everyone wanting a go come Christmas Day."
It obviously has the added benefit of not putting holes in the wall if a stray dart misses its target. look to have been impressed to date too. One said: "I ordered this for my 8 and 11 year old sons and they love it. Out of the box, it feels really good quality."
For convenience and durability they noted, "You get a sticky-backed hook to hang the board on and this has lasted really well and shows no sign of coming unstuck."
While another customer remarked on the set's entertainment value, adding, "This set comes out now EVERY time the nephews come round - and to be honest a few times when the wife and I are on our own. It's such good fun."
The item has received rave reviews, with one buyer praising its durability and design, saying: "It's well made, tough and durable. A great design with a standard dart board on one side and a traditional target face on the other. Younger children seem to prefer the target face as it is easier to score and requires much less thought."
However, not all buyers have been completely satisfied, with one reviewer giving it three stars and mentioning a couple of drawbacks: "Too noisy for me! I got told off as the third dart I threw hit the wall and took the paint off."
They also noted that the darts can be tricky to throw accurately, saying: "Hubby not happy. So, you need a large backboard to throw against as these little darts are not going to throw accurately, unless your kids are darts pros, even then, the balance is weird compared to a real dart."
The Luke 'The Nuke' Littler dartboard is part of a range of officially licensed gifts available this autumn, including a cabinet, and high-spec tungsten darts as used by the star himself,
