'My dad won 11 Grand Slams but he is not my favourite player - Rafael Nadal is'

Bjorn Borg's son has revealed that is his "biggest idol" as the Spanish superstar approaches his retirement.

The 22-time Grand Slam winner is playing the Six Kings Slam in Saudi Arabia this week .

Leo Borg in July to fulfil a lifetime ambition.

His father Bjorn won 11 Grand Slam titles, including five consecutive from 1976 to 1980. But the 21-year-old, who is now ranked world No. 590, said he grew up watching Nadal.

"He has always been my biggest idol," Leo Borg told . "He is probably the reason why I started playing tennis in the first place. He has a very big place in my heart.

"As long as I can remember, I have watched all his matches. I know almost all his results. Getting to meet him before he decided to quit was huge for me. It was one of my biggest dreams and I will remember that for the rest of my life."

Leo Borg lost in the first round of the Stockholm Open this week after receiving a wildcard and will next play Futures events in Egypt and Tunisia.

And he said he could identify with another son of a Swedish legend who is trying to make his own sporting career.

Maximilian Ibrahimovic - the 18-year-old son of former forward - signed his first professional contract with in the summer.

"Maximilian Ibrahimovic and I are in the same position with a famous father," said Borg. "You have to try to focus on yourself and your own development. I personally tend to play a little better when I'm under pressure and hopefully he feels the same. But you have to focus on your own development and your own thing."

Borg, who recorded his first Davis Cup win for Sweden last month, added: "For me, tennis has been my life since I was very young. It's as fun as it's been all my life. I am passionate about this and will do everything to become as good a player as possible and get to the top. I am very focused and feel very motivated."
