The famous house from One Foot in the Grave has been sold for a staggering sum. The setting for the 1990s BBC comedy about an old grump, Victor Meldrew (played by Richard Wilson), was used throughout the series. The three-bedroom terrace was a regular feature in the sitcom. Classic scenes included the garden being covered in 263 garden gnomes and a Citroen car being dumped in a skip Victor had left on the drive.

The property last sold in 2015 for £249,950 and was rented out by previous owners. It has now sold for an eye-watering £337,500. Estate agent, Ben Jenkins, who sold the three-bed house in Walkford, Dorset, said the property had remained on the market for five months.

He told The Sun: "Being the house from the TV series was quite a thing back in the day... but now not so much.

"But it does give it a funny little slant."

A description of the property read: "A well presented, terraced house of about 920sqft offered for sale with vacant possession and a sunny back garden.

"The property has been well maintained with a modern kitchen/dining room leading to a UPVC conservatory extension and has a garage on a nearby block.

"This particular house has been rented successfully for a number of years and is ready to move into straight away."
