The man who is at large after being mistakenly released from a London jail has been named. A 24-year-old Algerian man was released in error from HMP Wandsworth in London on October 29, the Metropolitan Police said. The accidental release happened on October 29, and the man still hasn't been found. It happened just five days after a high-profile accidental release of sex offender Hadush Kebatu from HMP Chelmsford. The man was named by sources as Brahim Kaddour-Cherif.
The prisoner was serving time for trespass with an intent to steal, Sky News reports. The broadcaster added that it understands he previously committed sexual offences.
