Jannik Sinner and Iga Swiatek are the two new Wimbledon champions at the end of a whirlwind two weeks. Sunday saw the world No. 1 defeat two-time defending champion Carlos Alcaraz 4-6 6-4 6-4 6-4 to join Swiatek as newcomers to the iconic SW19 balcony, where both lifted their titles this weekend.
Sinner is the first Italian man to ever clinch the title, but some BBC viewers fumed at not being able to witness his full celebrations that will surely last long into the night. Meanwhile, he and Swiatek will tonight attend the winner's ball together, after the Polish star demolished Amanda Anisimova 6-0 6-0 the previous day.
