Delhi Student Jumps to Death From Hostel, No Suicide Note Found

A 25-year-old MBA student has allegedly died by suicide on Sunday, September 15. He jumped off from the seventh floor of a hostel building. The deceased has been identified as a first-year MBA student at IP University, Dwarka. As per sources, no suicide note has been recovered so far and post-mortem is awaited The Delhi Police in a statement said that a call was received at 6.20 pm at the Dwarka North Police Station regarding a student had committed suicide.The student hailed from Bihar and was living in a hostel to study at IP. The police reached the spot but could not find any suicide note. "He was a student of MBA 1st year at the IP University main campus located in Sector-16. He committed suicide by jumping from the 7th floor of the hostel building. The body of the deceased was transferred at the DDU Hospital for the postmortem. Inquiry and investigative proceedings from the police side in the matter are on," read the police statement.Sources claim to PTI that the student was upset over being expelled from the hostel for celebrating a birthday party. Some of his classmates reportedly raised slogans against the varsity administration. However, as of now, there is no response from the varisty. More details are awaited.In a separate incident, a 25-year-old second-year MD student allegedly died by suicide. His room's door was locked from inside and it was found that the student had apparently hanged himself.
