Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris conceded defeat to Republican nominee Donald Trump on Wednesday, delivering her concession speech at Howard University in Washington, D.C. In her remarks, Harris called on supporters to "accept the results."However, some social media users accused Harris of plagiarism, pointing out similarities between her speech and Hillary Clinton's 2016 concession speech. A Twitter account, Insurrection Barbie, shared a side-by-side video comparing the two speeches, captioning it with "Really lol."
The video quickly went viral, amassing over 2 million views, with many commenters criticizing Harris for "copying.""Kamala Harris copied her confession speech from Hillary Clinton. Everything about Harris has been fake, a lie, or a fabrication. You can’t make this up," one person wrote. Another wrote, "She took Hills speech put it into Chat GPT and said… rewrite but not to much.A third person commented, "Kamala She has literally said nothing original since the start."Another person wrote, "Absolutely nothing about the Democrat party is authentic or genuine. It’s 100% contrived bullshit.""The queen of plagiarism. So many fake things about her. Her 1/2 dozen accents are really abnormal," commented another user. This is not the first time Harris has faced plagiarism allegations. Last month, conservative activist Christopher Rufo claimed Harris had plagiarized passages in a 2009 book she co-authored on the U.S. criminal justice system. Citing Austrian plagiarism investigator Stefan Weber, Rufo accused Harris of copying content from other sources without proper attribution.“Taken in total, there is certainly a breach of standards here,” Rufo wrote. “Harris and her co-author duplicated long passages nearly verbatim without proper citation and without quotation marks, which is the textbook definition of plagiarism."Really lol pic.twitter.com/RPpyeKKx2o
