India will take on Bangladesh in the second Test from September 27 in Kanpur. The hosts find themselves in a commanding position in the first test and look set for a whopping victory. Having scored 376 in the first innings, courtesy of R Ashwin's 113 and Ravindra Jadeja's 86, India bowled out Bangladesh for 149. The hosts then raced to 81-3 at stumps on Day 2, with the lead swelling to 308 runs. India are miles ahead in the game and only a miracle could help the Tigers claw back in the match from this situation. The BCCI only announced the squad for the first Test against Bangladesh and there could be a couple of changes in the squad for the second Test. There are chances that the BCCI might rest Jasprit Bumrah in the second Test. Bumrah was set to miss the series, however, Bangladesh's win over Pakistan forced BCCI to bring ace pacer back. India have a packed Test calendar and the selectors would want to manage Bumrah's workload ahead of more important series against New Zealand and Australia. There are high chances Bumrah won't be in the squad for the second Test. India played with three seamers in Chennai, however, three spinners should be the way to go in Kanpur. Also, Ishan Kishan showed decent form in the Duleep Trophy and BCCI might want him in the squad. Although India have Dhruv Jurel and Sarfaraz Khan as backup keepers, they don't have really have a backup opener. Kishan could fill that role in case Yashasvi Jaiswal or Rohit Sharma miss a game. BCCI could thus give Kishan his slot back in the India Test squad as they won't be able to make such bold decisions against New Zealand or Australia. Meanwhile, there are a few questions raised on the places of Virat Kohli and KL Rahul in the squad after below-par show in Chennai. However, there is no way the selectors would drop Rahul or Kohli from the squad. Kohli's place in the squad is secured whether he performs or not, however, Rahul might not get that many chances. Rahul needs to perform well in the upcoming matches, including three against New Zealand, to be on the flight to Australia where India will play five Tests. However, there is no immediate threat to his place. India Likely Squad For 2nd Test: Rohit Sharma (C), Yashasvi Jaiswal, Ishan Kishan, Shubman Gill, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, Sarfaraz Khan, Rishabh Pant (WK), Dhruv Jurel (WK), R Ashwin, R Jadeja, Axar Patel, Kuldeep Yadav, Mohammed Siraj, Akash Deep Yash Dayal.
