Hansal Mehta’s The Buckingham Murders is ruling theatres. Headlined by Kareena Kapoor Khan, the film is an investigative thriller with undertones of grief. The actress is also co-producing it with Ektaa R Kapoor. The Buckingham Murders is running successfully in theatres with a steady growth in box office collections. Post The Buckingham Murders’ release, director Hansal Mehta revealed in an exclusive interview with Zoom that Kareena Kapoor took a cut in her fees for the film. Sharing his opinion on the debate around the exorbitant remunerations of actors, the director said, “It depends on the kind of film too.”

She put her name as a producer. Obviously, she has taken a cut in her fees. You will never hear of their fees because they produce their own films and have their own audience. They have their profits.” About The Buckingham Murders The Buckingham Murders follows the story of Jasmeet Bhamra (Kareena Kapoor Khan) who relocated to another town to move on from the memories of losing her son to violence. As a detective, she is given the case of a missing boy. The Buckingham Murders also stars Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen. Directed by Hansal Mehta and written by Aseem Arrora, Kashyap Kapoor, and Raghav Raj Kakker, the film is a collaboration between Mahana Films and TBM Films.
