Truecaller on Thursday named Rishit Jhunjhunwala as its new chief executive officer (CEO). Working at the company since 2015, Jhunjhunwala currently serves as the chief product officer and MD Truecaller India. He will take over his new role on January 9, after incumbent Alan Mamedi steps down. The current CEO and co-founder Nami Zarringhalam announced in a letter that they have decided to give up their operational duties from June 30, 2025.Mamedi and Zarringhalam further added that they will now focus on Truecaller's long-term strategy as board members and advisors. During today’s board meeting, CEO Alan Mamedi and Chief Strategy Officer Nami Zarringhalam announced the decision to leave their current operational roles to instead in the longer-term focus on their board duties and as strategic advisors to Truecaller. After 9th of January Alan Mamedi and Nami Zarringhalam will continue to be employed by the company as advisors until 30th of June 2025 to cater for a solid transition," the company said in a statement.
Who Is Rishit Jhunjhunwala?Jhunjhunwala has been working at Truecaller since 2015. He is currently the company's chief product officer and MD Truecaller of the India division. The 47-year-old previously served as the vice president of July Systems and co-founded Cloud Magic Inc.Read More: Rishit Jhunjhunwala started his career after completing Business Management from Bangalore University.
