Rx Propellant sets up world's 1st IFC-EDGE certified advanced life sciences facility in Hyd's Genome Valley

HYDERABAD: Life sciences ecosystem developer Rx Propellant on Monday announced the opening of 3GV, which is touted as the world’s first IFC-EDGE (International Finance Corporation- Excellence in Design for Greater Efficiencies) certified advanced life sciences facility.

3GV is a multi-tenant facility spread over 1.5 lakh sq ft that has been set up at an investment of Rs 105 crore and can accommodate over 1,000 people. It houses advanced lab spaces that can be used by companies of all sizes.

Telangana industries & IT minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu, who inaugurated 3GV, also launched the blueprint and logo of the Hyderabad International Lifesciences Square (HILS), a 300-acre international life sciences corridor being set up by Rx Propellant in Genome Valley phase-2.

“These state-of-the-art facilities are not just about building infrastructure; they are about creating a future where Telangana leads the way in life sciences and draws new investments from renowned international companies,” the minister said.

Rx Propellant CEO Milind Ravi said, “Achieving the world’s first IFC-EDGE Advanced certification for a speculative life sciences building reflects our focus on sustainability and innovation. With 41% less energy consumption, 87% reduced water usage, and a 25% decrease in embodied carbon compared to conventional buildings, 3GV sets a new standard for environmentally responsible infrastructure.”

Rx Propellant, which has over 6.5 million sq ft of lab space across Hyderabad, Bengaluru and Mumbai, partners with international and domestic life sciences companies to facilitate their expansion by offering lab spaces and manufacturing facilities to support players of all sizes.
