A day after Operation Sindoor, Bollywood actress Alia Bhatt joined the growing chorus of support for the Indian Armed Forces for their retaliatory strike, was launched in response to the terror attack in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians.
Alia, known for lending her voice to socially significant issues, shared an emotional message on her Instagram Stories, writing, “I salute our armed forces today and every day. Jai Hind.”
Several other celebrities also expressed their admiration and support for the Indian Army and Air Force, who jointly executed the operation.
Operation Sindoor
According to the Ministry of Defence, Operation Sindoor involved targeted strikes on nine terror infrastructure sites across Pakistan and PoK.
The Defence Ministry emphasized that the strikes were "focused, measured, and non-escalatory," with no Pakistani military assets being targeted. “These steps come in the wake of the barbaric Pahalgam terrorist attack… We are living up to our commitment that those responsible will be held accountable,” the official statement read.
Alia Bhatt’s film slate
On the work front, Alia was last seen in the action drama movie ‘Jigra’ which unfortunately underperformed at the box office, despite good reviews. The actress is currently gearing up to play the first female spy in the YRF Spy Universe in the film titled 'Alpha'. She will also be seen in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film 'Love and War' that will see her reuniting with Ranbir Kapoor and Vicky Kaushal.
