Apple Beats Pill speaker: Key highlights
The new Beats Pill speaker boasts a significant upgrade in sound quality. A redesigned acoustic architecture promises a more powerful and immersive listening experience. The latest speaker has a re-engineered racetrack woofer which is equipped with stronger neodymium magnets. The company claims that the revamped woofer delivers 28% more motor force and displaces 90% more air volume. This means that the speaker will offer deeper bass and a richer soundscape, while an innovative structure will minimise distortion even at high volumes.
The new Beats Pill also has a redesigned tweeter which is expected to provide better stability to offer crisp highs and detailed mid-range tones. The design of the new speaker features a unique 20-degree upward tilt that can direct sound waves towards the users ears to minimise obstruction from surrounding objects.
Apple claims that the new Beats Pill speaker will offer 24-hour battery life and will even double as a power bank. This will allow users to charge their phone or other devices via the bundled USB-C cable.
The Beats Pill boasts an IP67 dust and water resistance rating, making it perfect for outdoor adventures. The speaker's portability is further enhanced by a removable lanyard and a soft-grip silicone backing, ensuring a comfortable and secure hold.
The new Beats Pill also supports dual compatibility with iOS and Android which allows for one-touch Bluetooth pairing, automatic pairing with other devices and support for both Find My or Find My Device functionality.
The Beats Pill will allow users to sync two speakers for an amplified stereo sound experience. Additionally, the speaker features Class 1 Bluetooth connectivity that will enable users to take calls and activate their voice assistant directly from the Beats Pill.
