Talking to media after the Space Flight, Sanchez defended the mission's significance against detractors. She said that they are missing the Big Point. “I get really fired up when I hear criticism,” she said. “I invite them to see the thousands of employees at Blue Origin who pour their hearts into this work. It’s not just a job—it’s a mission they love.” She emphasized the mission’s broader impact, adding, “Come with me, and I’ll show you what this is about. It’s eye-opening.”

Critics slam the Space Flight, calling it wastage of enormous amount of money
However, Amy Schumer and Olivia Wilde just didn't share their enthusiasm. purpose. Olivia Munn was among the most vocal critics, calling it “gluttonous” during an April 3 appearance on Today With Jenna & Friends. “There are so many pressing issues in the world right now,” Munn said. “It’s an enormous amount of money to go to space when people can’t even afford eggs. What are they doing up there that benefits us down here? Space exploration should advance knowledge and help humanity, not just be a ride.”

Schumer took to Instagram on the day of the launch to jokingly “announce” that she had received a last-minute invite to join Perry, King and Sanchez on the New Shepard 31 spacecraft. “Guys, last second they added me to space, and I’m going to space,” the comedian cheekily wrote. She added, “I’m bringing this thing. It has no meaning to me, but it was in my bag, and I was on the subway, and I got the text, and they were like, ‘Do you want to go to space?’ so I’m going to space.”

“Thank you to everyone who got me here,” she added. “I’ll see you guys in space.”
