JAMMU: J&K DGP Nalin Prabhat reviewed the security situation in the hilly districts of Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban on Thursday and laid special emphasis on anti-terror operations in the region’s higher reaches to weed out holed-up terrorists.
“During his visit to Bhaderwah (Doda) and Batote (Ramban), the DGP stressed on eliminating both existing and newly formed terrorist groups in the upper reaches, dismantling the nexus of overground workers, and fortifying the intelligence grid ,” a police spokesperson said Friday.
A detailed review meeting was also held to assess the deployment of forces for the Amarnath Yatra . The DGP was briefed by DIG Shridhar Patil and other district police chiefs.
