Telangana: Congress functionary shot dead

A Congress functionary was killed in Medak district’s Kulcharam Monday night.

Assailants in two cars ambushed Marelli Anil, Medak Congress SC cell secretary. Anil, to escape, may have hit the accelerator, causing his vehicle to veer off the road and crash, police said.

Locals, believing it to be an accident, helped shift Anil to a nearby hospital, where he was declared him brought dead.

However, doctors discovered four bullet wounds on his body and alerted police.
