Vinesh Phogat's event marred by scuffle among party workers

JIND: High voltage drama prevailed after Congress workers created ruckus in a programme held to facilitate Vinesh Phogat who is contesting assembly from Julana assembly seat on Congress party’s ticket. Notably, chaos witnessed as party workers clashed with each other while Vinesh Phogat was present in the event.

Reportedly, Phogat reached Buwana village late night on Monday to address villagers. However, when one of the villagers started addressing gathering, people opposed him which led to a ruckus. When situation escalated, Vinesh had to intervene to pacify them subsequently, she addressed them and urged to maintain peace.

A video of the incident has gone viral, showcasing the infighting and disorder among Congress workers. In the video, it can be seen that people are opposing and arguing with each other loudly.

It is pertinent to mention that Vinesh Phogat caught in multi corner contest after aam aadmi party (AAP) fielded India's first WWE wrestler Kavita Dalal INLD-BSP pitted local leader Surender Dalal who has a stronghold in the region and jannayak janta party (JJP) gave ticket to sitting MLA Amarjeet Dhanda. Hooda's prestige is at high stake after they decided to field Vinesh Phogat from this Jat dominated seat.

Talking to TOI, Sudhir Buwana, sarpanch of the village said that matter has been sorted out at the spot. It was an outcome of anger of villagers after Vinesh Phogat reached in the event in a delay of four hours. People sought a direct speech of Phogat but a villager started addressing which led to ruckus but people resolved it at the spot, he added.
